We now have exciting opportunities for experienced Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties in the Birmingham area. Working 40 hrs p/w. Salary £22,000 to £30,000 p.a. depending on role and experience.
You’re inspired by the ingredients you work with to create seasonal, balanced and nutritious menus. You’ll recruit, lead, manage and develop your own team, using your proven kitchen management and engaging communication skills. Ensuring our standards are met or exceeded, you’ll work with each site team to keep food innovation firmly on the agenda and achieve excellent GPs. You will work with a group of General Managers to build and maintain the relationship between our company’s Foodie culture aligned with the goals of our clients.

Continuous development extends to your team, too, and you’ll provide the strong leadership and coaching needed to keep standards and performance at the highest level, always encouraging new initiatives. Being in the kitchen doesn’t mean you won’t see your customers. We expect you to interact regularly with the people who enjoy our food – to measure success and gain inspiration for new ideas and to maximise sales with our concepts and innovations.
You’ll be educated to a City & Guilds 706 1 and 2, NVQ or equivalent and ideally you will hold Food Safety at Level 3 as a minimum plus Health & Safety at Level 2 plus you will have an excellent knowledge of Food Safety Management System requirements and COSHH within your broad range of experience gained in a variety of client sites.
Producing and developing the highest standards of food to time and financial targets, you’ll step into the Head Chef’s shoes when required. But you also have ideas of your own, and will be keen to develop new initiatives to improve standards.
Enthusiastic about food, you’ll research innovative ideas and contribute to all areas of food production, from menu planning capturing food trends to delight our customers. An effective communicator, you’re a professional who promotes team spirit, company culture and can switch the speed of your work when the business needs you to. With a strong customer focus, you’ll gain valuable feedback to measure success and be committed to continuous learning by attending workshops and forums. And while your kitchen management skills may be at a basic level, you’re ready to improve and grow.
With relevant experience and educated to C & G 706 1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent, you’ll have Food Safety and Health and Safety at level 2 and be confident in your working knowledge of COSHH & HACCP. 2 years working in in a similar size operation would be an advantage, along with some experience in supervising others. bartlett mitchell are committed to supporting your future career and training options.
